I’m a big fan of classic video games, so when it came time to decide on an art project, I knew I wanted to create some fan art. I decided to illustrate my two favorite characters: Mario and Luigi.

Together, these two brothers have to face all kinds of odds and solve mysteries and crimes. So I decided to illustrate them as two detectives in a noir style. I had a lot of fun with this Super Mario Bros fan art project, and I’m really happy with how it turned out.

They make a great team, and I wanted to capture that in my illustration. Detective Mario and Luigi are ready to crack the case!
